Mater.Haus is an experiment in configurations within a private Italianate Estate along the Hudson River. Amid the innovations, you’ll find high-vibe joy in the form of  Mrs. Noodle Pillow, a giant velvet soft sculpture in lieu of sofas on which its impossible not to nap, the ellipsis, a rocking objet so deeply soothing you fall directly into theta mode…it’s beyond perfection, beyond “tasteful” - it’s somthing more- maybe “feelful”, an alchemical combination of elements and humans which produce unusual states of being. It’s a place which allows depth and breadth of work, healing, connection, absurdity, even enlightenment. A place where your chef d’oeuvre emerges, where lifetime friendships forge, and where egos drop. 

We offer Residencies in the form of day passes for those who wish to use the space for work, either the messy, sculptural variety, or the clean, writing-esque variety, overnight stays, retreats, trunk-shows, shoots, or longer term cohabitation - or for Far Niente - flop by the pool. Come up and watch light play through wavy glass, or the fireflies fanfare - weeping cherry and magnolia trees waving soft…hellos… We may inhabit then become Happiness Machines ourselves- with love,and Beauty Beauty all around you.
